DCWV The Primrose greeting card

Dear all,

I hope you all had an awesome 4th July celebration with your family and friends!

Today, I would like to share a new card which is made into 3 layers of cardstocks. I used a cardstock paper from DCWV The Primrose collection. One of the awesome collection by DCWV. I made a beautiful mini album with this collection. Stay tuned...I will be posting pictures soon and also a YouTube video on my channel.

To make this card I used a satin ribbon that is around 1 1/2" wide and a button which I bought from Hobby Lobby. The die used over here is a Die'sire border die. The white and golden die cuts are overlapped on each other and the edges are covered with a bow. I decorated two stick pins with beads and tucked them near the button. The pointed ends of the stick pins are secured. I made a tag with a sentiment. This card is for sale on my Etsy store.

Inside of the card is decorated and left blank to convey your own thoughts.

If you have any question then feel free to contact me.

I hoped you liked this card!!

7" X 7" Wedding gift Explosion Box

Hi all,

It's been a long time since I shared anything on my blog. I was on a impromptu vacation. Vacations are always fun. We get to spend valuable time with our family and beloved once. Now I am back to my routine and I am loving it.

Today, I am very excited to share my new creation, 7" X 7" explosion box.  This was a little challenging art project for me but I am overwhelmed to see the final product. Currently, I am working on instructions video on this project and will share with you all as soon as I get done with it.

Here is a overview of my Explosion Box:

It is a 7" X 7" box enclosed with 2 layers of boxes. It holds more than 40 6" X 4" photos and 4 of 5" X 7" photos. I used "Tales of you and me" cardstock collection from Prima. One of the exquisitely beautiful collection by Prima. Also, I used my handmade paper flowers and decorated stick pins to embellish this box. If you need instruction video on my handmade flowers then please let me know.

I hope you enjoyed watching the tutorial!

Let me know if you have any question.

Altered wine bottles

Hi all,

Happy Friday!!!

I always like to store empty wine bottles. But getting rid of some bottles was must when my attic got overloaded with these bottles. My creative mind got on the wheel and started thinking about altering some bottles into something useful. I came across some of the altered wine bottle images online. With the help of these images my new project started.

Steps to follow:

1. Soak the wine bottles in a warm water to get rid of all labels and stickers attached on bottle.
2. Clean the exterior of bottles with soap water and then let it dry.
3. Use acrylic colors to paint the surface of bottles.
4. Apply 1st coat of paint and let it dry
6. After drying if you think that color is not coating the surface evenly then apply 2nd coat.
7. Generally after 2nd coat the bottles surface get coated evenly with the paint.
8. Apply mod-podge to protect the color from getting fade or dust accumulation and it also gives glossy texture to the bottle surface.
9. For 2 bottles I used burlap ribbon and painted stripes using acrylic color.
10. Generally, I like to make my own flowers but I had some leftover flowers from Michael's which I used to decorate these bottles.
11. You can decorate the bottles with any embellishments as per your choice.

Hope you all will like making them!!!

Lantern altered into Bird cage

Hi all,

Here, I am sharing my 1st mixed media altered project today.

One of my friend gifted me a lantern and it was sitting near my door way for many days. One day a thought came in my mind that why not decorate the lantern with some embellishments. I started browsing through net and while searching online I came across some paper flower making tutorials and, they were very interesting. In couple of days, I made many cardstock flowers of different shapes and colors. I started decorating my lantern with these flowers and crotchet lace.

At the end, I was so amazed to see the final product. And now, I can't wait to display the pictures of my beautiful altered bird cage.

I hope you all will enjoy it!!!!

Happy Friday!!!!

Congratulations card

Hi all,

I know, I am too excited to write since I started this blog. Today, I would like to share one more greeting card which I made from cardstocks, ribbon bow, die cut shapes, handmade flowers and decorated stick pins. You can present this card to congratulate parents on arrival of new baby boy OR you can use it for many other occasions.

I used Spellbibers Nestabilities Floral Oval Etched Die to create two oval components. The die used to create sentiment tag is from Die'sire. It is a three layered card. Each layer is separated by foam pieces to give raised elevation. The main cardstock is from The Primrose Amarillo Palido 12" X 12" stack.

The inside of the card is left blank to convey your own feelings.

It is available on my Etsy store for sale.

Let me know of you have any question.
